Clone selected from a cross between Nepenthes Mirabilis winged green x Nepenthes Northiana. Appreciated for their rusticity, speed of growth and adaptability.

That plant derives from vitro propagation in v, therefore clonal, of Nepenthe Mirabilis Winged Green x Nepenthes Northiana, seedling number 2

It has a homogeneous green leaf, without any particular spotting.

The end of the leaf is fused to the pitcher by a wide and jagged tendril, not through the classic thin tendril, typically interrupt the leaf starting to his end. In this case the tendril is melted to the leaf giving the impression of a continuity between leaf and pitcher.

The pitcher is pale green, elongated. The peristome has a red streak that adds some color to the rest of the monochromatic trap.

The most distinctive feature of this unique clone is the hat. Extremely accentuated forward and not completely extended horizontally above the trap opening. The outer edges of the hat are raised upwards giving a very accentuated crest effect. To this characteristic is added a further strangeness: frontally in some cases the hat shows a strange calluse, a very particular inhomogeneous bulge.

All this is reminiscent of the imperial helmets of the officers of the Greek army, yellow in color with crested helmet, from which the plant takes its name.

This clone is the result of about 3 years of work starting from the first in vitro sowing. It will be kept in our catalogs for the next few years given the beauty for which it was selected. For these reasons, the necessary documentation for its registration under this same name has begun and will be completed shortly and sent.
