What is our source for this Nepenthes?

Diflora began the micropropagation of Nepenthes X Holly by seed. Micropropagation allows the preservation of the mother plant genome avoiding contamination and genetic variation caused by traditional pollination followed by seeds production.

How we grow it?

Nepenthes X Holly grows indoors all year. It is under LED lights at 20°C.

What is Its main strategy to catch prey?

To attract prey Nepenthes X Holly releases sweet substances on the edge of the pitcher. This essence attracts insects and they fall on the inside of the trap. Inside of it there is a acid liquid full of digestive enzymes. Escape from the pitcher is almost impossible. The inside has smooth walls and some species have hairs facing down that stop preys.
