Ketotsuchi

Keto is a Japanese humic/clayey growing medium and is the key component for bonsai groves placed on plates of stone or other material. Due to its plastic nature, it is used to make arrangements and build the border above the plates within which the plant will then be placed with a suitable mixture of akadama, kanuma, kiryuzuna or other substrates depending on the plant species. In addition to this use, it is also used in kokedama and kusamono, also of Japanese origin, and in other types of cultivation and aquariums.
